This policy explains how Northern Analytics handles information when you visit www.northern-analytics.com or contact us through the website. It reflects the contact form, hosting, and analytics services currently used by the site.
The contact form asks for the information needed to understand and respond to your inquiry:
Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form.
The contact form uses Formspree. When you submit it, your form entries are sent directly to Formspree so it can process the submission and deliver it to Northern Analytics. Formspree may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, access time, and referring page for service operation and fraud prevention. Its handling and retention practices are described in the Formspree Privacy Policy.
This website is hosted by Vercel. As the hosting provider, Vercel may process request and diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser or device details, pages requested, timestamps, and server logs. See the Vercel Privacy Notice for details.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand overall website traffic. Plausible reports aggregate information such as the page visited, referring site, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate location. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. Plausible uses IP address and user-agent information to calculate a daily identifier, then states that it does not store the raw values. Read the Plausible Data Policy for its full methodology.
If you choose Allow cookies, this site loads the Google tag for Google Ads. Google may then use first-party advertising cookies, including cookies whose names begin with _gcl_, along with ad-click information, page and referring URLs, browser or device information, timestamps, and IP address to help Northern Analytics understand whether a Google ad led to a review request.
The tag is configured for conversion measurement only. Advertising personalization, enhanced conversions, and user-provided data collection are disabled. The name, email address, company, and message entered in the contact form are not sent to Google for this measurement.
If you decline, the Google tag does not load and the site sends no Google Ads measurement data. Your choice does not affect access to the website or contact form. It is stored in your browser until you change it, clear browser storage, or the consent version changes. Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page to change your choice.

Northern Analytics uses information from the website to:
Formspree, Vercel, Plausible, and—only after you allow advertising measurement—Google process information for the purposes described above. Their systems may process information outside Alberta or Canada, subject to the locations and safeguards described in their own policies. Northern Analytics does not rent or sell contact-form submissions.
Northern Analytics does not currently publish a fixed retention period for inquiries. Contact information may be kept while an inquiry or client relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for business records, dispute resolution, or legal requirements. Formspree, Vercel, Plausible, and Google apply their own retention practices as described in their policies.
You can choose not to use the contact form and contact us by email instead. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information held by Northern Analytics. To make a request, email contact@northern-analytics.com. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request.
The website uses HTTPS, and Northern Analytics uses service providers to host the site and deliver form submissions. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to include in a message.
This website links to external services such as LinkedIn. Their privacy practices apply when you follow those links, and this policy does not describe or control those services.
We may revise this policy when the website, providers, or business practices change. The date at the top will show when the policy was last updated.
